2013 Happy New Year Bellevue WA

Hard to believe it is now June. 2013 was a whirlwind. Victoria, Lauren and Lindsay visited us New Year's Day and we toured Seattle for a day or two with them. We settled into school and work post Christmas break and closed on our house end of January. Two weeks of ripping out carpet and flooring and other handyman stuff made us really ready for a much needed break. In February we left the clouds for some sun in Los Angeles. We got to see many friends and tour around the area, including LEGOLAND for Alexander and Jillian while Savannah and I did a spa day;-)

When we got back, the house stuff continued. To add to the stress, I was hit in the van by a hit-n-run driver who crossed over into my lane! Thankfully, God helped me quickly swerve and avoid a head-on. 6 weeks later and $18,000 paid by her insurance company (the cops did find the driver) I had my van back. With a little chiropractic and massage help, I too was feeling fine.

March was a busy month of work on the house and plenty of activities for the kids.

April began a month of repacking and preparing for our move plus a lot of painting of bedrooms and bathrooms. We moved in end of April and have been enjoying our little place since. Great neighborhood! For the first time ever the kids just head out the door and play in the cul-de-sac with local kids coming and going. It reminds me of my days as a youth.

May was filled with Savannah's cello recital, Alexander's trumpet recital and Jillian's dance recital. My parents came back out towards the end of May and we hit a few more local spots. Can't beat the food here which included a dinner at home eating Dungeoness crab, baby local clams and Copper River Salmon (the cream of the crop salmon)! We also hit the Olympic Peninsula and saw the Pacific Ocean, Hoh Rainforest, the Olympic Mountains and plenty of lush greenery.

June marked the end of school. A good year for all. The weather has been better than most years say the locals. So we saw several days of sun throughout the spring and now eagerly anticipate the summer dry months!

Heading east finally for a few weeks of NJ family, friends and camp for all the kids. David and I will finally have that 20th year Anniversary...a year later..as we hit Boston and Cape Cod!
